Molecular structure: Synthesized from long polyester chains, the molecular chain is shorter and contains many ester bonds.

Physical properties: soft and comfortable, with good touch and fit, good wrinkle resistance, not easy to deform, good dyeing performance and bright colors.

Durability: solid and durable, high strength, good heat resistance, strong light resistance, acid and alkali resistance, good color fastness, washable and light-resistant, not easy to fade.

Hygroscopicity: poor, with small and few pores, low moisture regain, not hydrophilic, easy to generate static electricity and absorb dust.

Price: Without modification and excluding the influence of brand premium, the overall price is relatively low.


2. Nylon


Molecular structure: Synthesized from polyamide long chain, the molecular chain is longer and contains more amide bonds.

Physical properties: Hard and stiff, with high tensile strength and wear resistance.

Durability: Extremely durable and able to maintain performance in extreme environments.

Hygroscopicity: Good, can stay relatively dry in humid environment, but long-term immersion in water may lead to performance degradation.

Other properties: Resistant to heat, chemicals and UV rays, with excellent toughness, stretchability and elasticity.

1. Polyester fiber


Advantages: soft and comfortable, strong anti-wrinkle ability, bright colors and low price.

Disadvantages: poor moisture absorption and breathability, easy to generate static electricity.


2. Nylon


Advantages: high tensile strength, good abrasion resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance, UV resistance, and good moisture absorption (relative to polyester fiber).

Disadvantages: Soaking in water for a long time may cause performance degradation and weak acid resistance.

When selecting rigging materials, the decision should be made based on the specific use environment and needs. If products need to withstand heavy pressure and friction, such as industrial ropes, safety ropes, etc., nylon is a better choice because of its high tensile strength and wear resistance. At the same time, considering that the performance of nylon may be degraded in humid environments, if rigging is used in humid environments, special attention should be paid to the selection and maintenance of its materials.
