China's first semi-submersible floating offshore photovoltaic power generation platform with independent intellectual property rights, developed by CIMC Raffles, has recently completed its launching and formal delivery.
Juli Rigging is mainly responsible for the program design and production of the mooring system of the project and provides mooring cables, rings, buckles and other connecting parts.
The platform is equipped with 4 single floating body squares, Juli Rigging has designed and developed a variety of mooring cables such as platform main cable, inter-platform cross-connecting cable, inter-platform non-cross-connecting cable, and platform upper protection cable, etc., in combination with the structural type and size of the steel frame of the floating body squares, as well as the requirements of the connection between the floating body squares, which can satisfy the overall mooring of the platform and the connection between the floating body squares. The contact parts between the cable and the platform and between the cross cables are coated with wear-resistant protective coating, which prolongs the service life of the mooring cables.
According to the relevant person in charge of CIMC Raffles, this PV power generation platform is the first semi-submersible offshore PV demonstration project in China. Relying on CIMC Raffles' rich experience in semi-submersible product engineering, combined with the concept of multi-float array connection, it successfully demonstrates the feasibility of semi-submersible offshore floating photovoltaic. It will provide an effective reference for the subsequent product development, large-scale application, and demonstration of kWh cost, and provide an exploratory demonstration and leading path for promoting "semi-submersible PV to the deep and distant sea".
