Juli Sling invited to attend the 3rd Ocean Clean Energy Technology and Equipment Summit Forum

Recently, Juli Sling was invited to attend the 2023 (3rd) Ocean Clean Energy Technology and Equipment Summit Forum organised by Ocean Clean Energy Information. The conference focuses on offshore wind power, offshore photovoltaic, ocean energy and other industries, focusing on building a marine clean energy development technology system and a synergistic model for the integration and development of various forms of energy.

The theme of the conference is "Focusing on integrated development, innovation-driven continuous promotion of industrial progress", Juli Sling Vice President Zhang Haibo attended the conference and made a keynote report around the "mooring system and equipment innovation to help the development of marine clean energy".

In the report, Zhang Haibo explained the importance of mooring technology for the development of marine clean energy to the deep and distant sea, introduced the type and characteristics of offshore floating body long-term mooring line, as well as Juli Sling's research results in this field, and pointed out that an effective way to "reduce costs and increase efficiency" in the use of marine clean energy is the economic and rationality of the mooring line design and selection. It is pointed out that one of the effective ways to "reduce cost and increase efficiency" in the use of marine clean energy is the economic rationality of mooring line design. Combined with the project examples, we introduced the wire rope mooring ropes, long-term mooring fibre cables, mooring connectors and other mooring products one by one.

01 wire rope mooring rope

Wire rope mooring ropes have three main structural forms, respectively, 6 strands of wire rope, single-stranded wire rope and single-stranded wire rope with sheath. Steel wire rope mooring rope annual output of 100,000 tonnes, the largest diameter of 260mm, the largest single weight of 350 tonnes, and the longest record of 17,000 metres. Nominal tensile strength level up to 2160Mpa and EEIPS level.

02 Long-term mooring fibre cables

Long-term mooring fibre cables are used in mooring systems.

Annual production of 6000 tonnes, maximum diameter 600mm, single maximum φ300mm×1000m. Polyamide, polyester, ultra-high molecular weight polyethene fibre and other materials are available.

03 Mooring connecting parts

Mooring connection parts are used to connect mooring cables with different sections and different materials. Mooring connections are basically customised parts, which need to be designed, manufactured, inspected and tested in accordance with project requirements and relevant specifications.

In January 2020, we obtained the certificate of ABS long-term mooring products.

The number of fatigue tests of the unloading buckle reached 138,132 times, which is much larger than the fatigue test requirements of classification societies and related standards.

Juli Sling's deep sea mooring products have been successively applied to such key marine projects as the Wenchang Phase 2 conduit rack platform life extension project, Straits 1 single-column semi-submersible deep-sea aquaculture fishery, the first independent intellectual property rights semi-submersible offshore floating photovoltaic power generation platform project, and Three Gorges Leader.

The report of the 20th CPC National Congress pointed out that it is necessary to "promote the energy revolution in-depth and accelerate the planning and construction of a new type of energy system".
