Single blade hoisting is the preferred installation method for large capacity wind turbines with impeller diameter of more than 160 meters, and it is also one of the current mainstream installation technologies. Sichuan Province in the past, because of the small capacity of single fan, small impeller diameter, hoisting constraints are few, all adopt the impeller lifting method.
In contrast, single-blade lifting is less limited by wind speed and terrain. The upper limit of hoisting wind speed is increased from 8 m/s to 10 m/s, extending the hoisting operation window period, effectively reducing the construction time and overall cost of the project. At the same time, the single blade hoisting can greatly reduce the area of the construction site, reduce the amount of digging and filling and vegetation damage because it avoids the ground assembly of the impeller. It is estimated that at least 30% of the floor area can be saved.
