Product Detail

Flat shackle is a specially designed lifting shackle with a flattened body structure that allows better load distribution and improved compatibility with lifting slings, wire ropes, and rigging assemblies.

Compared with standard bow shackles, flat shackles reduce pressure concentration on sling eyes and improve contact stability during heavy lifting operations.

They are typically used in high-load environments where safety, stability, and wear resistance are critical.

Flat Shackle Feature

The flat shackles (both body and pin) we produce are made of high quality alloy steel through advanced production line and intermediate frequency furnace heat treatment. It is characterized by high-intensity, good toughness, small volume, light weight, beautiful appearance and good durability.

  • Production range: 55t-2,000t.
  • Materials of flat shackle body and pin are processed through quenching and tempering with high-quality alloy steel.
  • The minimum breaking load is 4 times of the rating working load.
  • Manufacturing method of the flat shackle body: die forging combined with free forging technique.
  • Both circular and hexagonal nuts are available.
  • Non-destructive flaw detection is employed for every single product to ensure there is no intensity defect.
  • Each flat shackle will be marked with working load.
  • No need to use the thimble when the flat shackle was connected _with high-strength lifting belt, wire rope sling and large radius’s domed roof. Wear-resisting property of the wire rope sling is improved obviously.
  • The flat shackle body and the pin are galvanized and then the pin paint in blue.
  • Treatment: Galvanizing (include hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing) Painting.

No need to use the thimble when the shackle was connected with high-strength lifting belt, wire rope sling and large radius’s domed roof.  Wear-resisting property of the wire rope sling is improved obviously.
